MST at the UNESCO Convention in Lucca

20 March 2013

The 33rd Executive Board Meeting of UNESCO was held in Lucca – which has been nominated for the prestigious “UNESCO Creative City of Music” award – to talk about ethics, art and culture. Manifatture Sigaro Toscano, which supports this candidacy, participated in the meeting. “With Lucca’s participation in this worldwide event, MST continues its commitment towards the support of art and culture” – Manifatture Sigaro Toscano explains – “this is a commitment which belongs to our style and values. We have always acknowledged that all good things need to be fully accomplished, preserved and therefore protected”
Culture, music and Italian style have been protagonists in the meeting: not only with the Conference on the Universal Language of Music and Art for a Global Ethic, but also with the participation of celebrities such as Andrea Boccelli, present at the opening ceremony, and Katia Ricciarelli who performed a concert at the Boccheri Institute Auditorium.
In the unique atmosphere of the Galleria Ammannati of the Palazzo Ducale, Manifatture Sigaro Toscano hosted United Nations delegates, representatives of local institutions, entrepreneurs and show-business personalities. They were shown a perfect blend of culture and tradition following the thread of smoke of an after-dinner Toscano at the old Caffè delle Mura where they were guided on a journey of the senses from excellent cigar aromas to numerous Italian delicacies.
